Anthony Smith is a sculptor, photographer and naturalist who has sailed around the world and travelled to more than 100 countries and overseas territories, from the Geographic North Pole to below the Antarctic Circle, and many places in between.

Anthony's bronze wildlife sculptures are informed by his education in zoology (MA, Cambridge University) as well as Artist in Residence positions in wildlife hotspots such as the Falkland Islands and South Georgia. In addition to sculpting natural history subjects, Anthony has commemorated great scientists and explorers, including Charles Darwin (for Cambridge University) and Sir Ernest Shackleton (for the South Georgia Museum).

Other highlights include the Natural History Museum of London commissioning Anthony to create the first new statue for the museum in more than eighty years: a seven-foot-tall bronze sculpture of Alfred Russel Wallace that was unveiled by Sir David Attenborough in 2013. He has also designed and sculpted a new £2 coin for the Royal Mint, which is now in general circulation in the United Kingdom. As a photographer, Anthony has had work commissioned by BBC Wildlife, and his photos have appeared in publications by National Geographic.

He lectures on a broad range of topics including art, history, photography and natural history.
