Starting at $3,299 per person

Pre-Cruise Itinerary Overview

(5 days, 4 nights)

Day 1: Arrive in Lima. Transfer to hotel. Overnight Lima.

Day 2: Lima/Cusco/Urubamba. Following a flight from Lima to Cusco, enjoy various stops en route to the hotel. Visit Sacsayhuaman. This archaeological complex was constructed without mortar yet the massive stones (some weighing up to 300 tons) fit perfectly. The day will also include a visit to Koricancha and the Cathedral. The lovely Santo Domingo Cathedral was built on the foundations of the Temple of the Sun, the most sumptuous temple in the Inca Empire. Overnight Urubamba.

Day 3: Urubamba. Visit Chinchero with its beautiful view of the valley. There are also archaeological remains and a beautiful seventeenth-century church, one of the first Catholic buildings in Peru. Participate in a textile workshop and meet with native weavers who will share their traditional weaving techniques. Enjoy lunch at Rancho Wayra along with a Peruvian Paso horse show demonstration. After lunch, continue to Ollantaytambo, a typical example of the urban planning of the Incas and a remarkable archaeological complex. Its residents still live in accordance with their old traditions. Overnight in Urubamba.

Day 4: Machu Picchu/Cusco. Journey by Vistadome train (or similar) from the Ollantaytambo station to Machu Picchu. From there, it is a short walk and a bus ride uphill to Machu Picchu. The Lost City of the Incas perches at an elevation of 7,874 feet. After your guided tour of the awe-inspiring UNESCO Heritage site, journey back by Hiram Bingham train (or similar) to Poroy station. Relax over a cocktail and enjoy dinner in the dining car. You will then transfer to Cusco city. Overnight in Cusco.

Day 5: Cusco/Lima/Callao. Enjoy an early city highlights tour before the flight from Cusco to Lima. Transfer to the ship for embarkation.

Please note: Cancellations fees start 60 days prior to the call date at Callao. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour to Machu Picchu requires traveling from sea level to an elevation of 11,200 feet in Cusco, which may cause altitude sickness for some guests. Touring the ruins of Machu Picchu requires climbing many stairs and negotiating uneven and rugged terrain in rarefied air at 7,874 feet above sea level. Guests with a heart condition and/or known respiratory difficulties should consult their physician prior to booking this tour. Wear comfortable, casual clothing in natural, breathable fabrics. Temperatures will change as elevations and time of day change, so it's best to bring shorts as well as long trousers, and clothing you can layer. A sweater or lightweight jacket will be needed for the cooler evening temperatures common in upland regions. Heavy, unpredictable, seasonal rainfall can change some operational aspects of this tour. Should this occur, Seabourn will notify guests in advance of any significant changes and participants will be given the opportunity to cancel their reservation without penalty. All meals are included unless specifically noted otherwise.

Important: It is solely each guest's responsibility to obtain (before traveling) any visas, vaccinations or tourist cards that are required for participating in Land Journeys, unless noted otherwise in the description. Please be aware that you may need a visa for any and/or all countries that you will depart from and travel through as part of your Mid-Cruise Adventure or Overnight Journey, and for the country in which you will re-join the ship. Your travel agent can assist you with your visa needs. If you require further assistance, Seabourn's preferred visa service is CIBTvisas. Residents of the USA and Canada phone: 866-935-8472; or email: seabourn@cibtvisas.com. CIBTvisas' phone numbers and email addresses for residents of Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom can be found on our website. Applications and additional information can be downloaded from the CIBTvisas website at https://CIBTvisas.com/seabourn. You must advise CIBTvisas of your Mid-Cruise Adventures or Overnight Journeys, as the visa requirements for these vacation enhancements may vary from those required for your cruise.
