Pre-Cruise Itinerary Overview

Day 1 – Arrive in Beijing
Welcome to Beijing, China’s sprawling capital known for its unique blend of ancient sites and modern architecture! Upon arrival at the airport, transfer to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.  
Hotel: China World Hotel or similar.

Day 2 – Beijing (B/L/D)
After breakfast, visit Tian’anmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Then, visit the Forbidden City — a sprawling complex that includes temples, Imperial houses and pavilions and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After lunch, continue to the Temple of Heaven — an outstanding example of Imperial architecture. Return to the hotel to freshen up before a Peking Duck Dinner at renowned restaurant.
Hotel: China World Hotel or similar.

Day 3 – Beijing (B/L)
After breakfast, drive to the Great Wall, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore this amazing series of walls first constructed over 2000 years ago to ward off northern nomads. Following lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy rest of day at your leisure.
Hotel: Wyndham Grand Xian South or similar.

Day 4 – Xian (B/L/D)
Following breakfast, drive to the Terracotta Warriors Museum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, acclaimed as the “eighth wonder of the world. The 7,000 life-size warriors each have unique characteristics. Visit the Ancient City Wall of Xian, the only complete city wall extant in China. After lunch, continue to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, one of China’s most revered pagodas. Return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner and a typical folkloric show at the Tang Palace Theater Restaurant.
Hotel: Wyndham Grand Xian South or similar

Day 5 – Xian to Chengdu (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, have lunch before visiting Wuhou Temple, dedicated to Zhuge Liang, perhaps the most well-known historic figure in China. Continue to Jinli Ancient Street, one of the most popular pedestrian streets to experience local culture. Check into the hotel and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.
Hotel: The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu or similar.

Day 6 – Chengdu (B/L)
After breakfast, drive to the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding to visit these lovely creatures. The base replicates the panda’s natural habitat in order to provide the best environment for breeding and preparing pandas to be released into the wild. After lunch, drive to Sanxingdui Museum, home to an important archaeological discovery which changed the world’s understanding of ancient history and culture of southwest China. Return to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.
Hotel: The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu or similar.

Day 7 – Chengdu to Hong Kong (B)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hong Kong. Upon arrival, check into hotel in the afternoon and enjoy rest of day at leisure.
Hotel: Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel or similar.

Day 8 – Hong Kong (B/L)
After breakfast, enjoy a Hong Kong Island tour, taking in panoramic views from Victoria Peak, visit Repluse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village and Stanley Market. Following a dim-sum lunch, transfer to the pier where you will embark your Seabourn ship.

Post-Cruise Itinerary Overview

Disembark your ship and set off on a Hong Kong Island tour. Enjoy panoramic views from Victoria Peak, visit Repluse Bay, Aberdeen Fishing Village and Stanley Market. Following a dim-sum lunch, check into your hotel where you will have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 2 – Hong Kong to Chengdu (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chengdu, having a light lunch onboard. Please note: A minimum number of participants are required to operate this tour. Final hotel/flight manifests must be provided well in advance of the tour, therefore we recommend booking no later than 90 days prior to the Journey. The tour is non-refundable unless cancelled 30 days prior to the Journey.  It is each guest's sole responsibility to obtain (before traveling) any visas, vaccinations or tourist cards that are required for participating in Seabourn Journeys, unless noted otherwise in the description. Please be aware that you may need a visa for any and/or all countries that you will depart from and travel through as part of your Journey, and for the country in which you will join or disembark from the ship. Participants must negotiate stairs and/or uneven surfaces and is therefore not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered; shorts and short skirts are not allowed. Wear sunglasses and sunscreen. Bring a hat. Tour sequence may vary. On arrival in Beijing, please note that hotel check in time is 2:00 pm.  Although every effort will be made to have rooms available upon arrival, this cannot be guaranteed.
