Perched above the Arctic Ocean, a towering plateau carves an elegant silhouette against the sky, its eastern side cradled by the sheltered cove known as Hornvika. As you navigate towards your destination, encounter the remarkable standalone rock formation known as the Horn (or "Hornet' in Norwegian). This sacred site holds deep significance for the Sami people, who traditionally offered sacrifices here in hopes of securing good fortune. Upon reaching the cove, a stairway and trail will guide you up over a thousand steps to the plateau standing 307 meters (over a thousand feet) above sea level, leading you to the North Cape Monument.
