Depart Kotor and head along the Budva Riviera on a scenic and comfortable two-hour motorcoach drive to the capital city of Podgorica.
Your destination is the Montenegrin wine country, where the production of quality wines is a proud tradition of the southern and coastal winemakers.
The best-known Montenegrin wines are the premium whites called Krstac and Chardonnay. Leading reds include Cabernet, Vranac, and Pro Corde. These are produced by the famous Plantaze Sipcanik Wine Cellars, which opened in 2007 when an old military facility was turned into an impressive wine cellar. Visit the pretty vineyards and get acquainted with one of the largest wine producers in Europe, whose unique cellars are situated 100 feet underground. Enjoy a wine tasting before sitting down to a lunch of local favorites.
After lunch, head back to Kotor via the spectacular scenery of mountain roads.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes; bring a light jacket, as the cellar is cool. The lunch venue may change at short notice.
