Meet your guide at the pier and, after a safety briefing, gear up and set off on your bicycle, pedaling through the town of Vis.
You'll encounter such sights as the remains of the Roman baths and theatre. Pass the Perasti Tower -- a stout, defensive structure made of stone, facing the water and flanked by other character buildings. Dating to the 17th century, the tower was built by Vicko Bujovic, also known as Vicko of Perast, a commander in the Venetian military.
Riding to Fort George, you will be transported back in time with a discovery of the old British garrison, restored over time and today an atmospheric event venue hosting weddings, music events and art exhibitions.
Cycle past Tito's naval base, enjoying the beautiful scenery as you venture across the town's old stone streets to Grandovac Beach. Here, you will have time for refreshments and a swim, weather permitting, before cycling back to the pier.
Please note: Swimming is weather dependent. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, a cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. The route is mainly paved with some unpaved sections. The total route is approximately 2.7 miles. Helmets are provided and must be worn. Minimum age is 12 years.
