Mount Argentario is a beautifully preserved promontory where the environment melts with history. Your bike tour will start in La Feniglia Nature Reserve - ideal for biking as it is flat – and will end in Orbetello, by the lagoon. This active our is both panoramic and exciting because you may spot wild animals any time! Flamingos, Sandpipers and Cormorants live in the salt-lake, just like foxes and porcupines hide in the Mediterranean bushes. The itinerary is a ring in shape, closing in Orbetello downtown.
Your ride will cross La Feniglia reserve on a wild trail – a strip of land closing the salt-lake on the East. It has always been the wild area of the Orbetello Lagoon, that’s why it was declared a natural reserve, to preserve its important role as an ecological corridor. The second part is a residential area and holiday resort - private gardens and villas to spend Sundays are very typical of this region. After your tour enjoy some time at leisure for gelato or a stroll in Orbetello.
