In Angels & Demons and Mission Impossible II, it doubled as the Vatican. Explore with your guide. Within the sumptuous Royal Apartments, many personal artifacts remain intact, offering a rather intimate glimpse of palace life.
Vast gardens surround the royal residence. Fountains and cascades, wide avenues of grass, marble statues and a botanic garden reside within a groomed Baroque landscape. The water features rival those of Versailles and Peterhof.
Learn about beautiful textiles at San Leucio -- an important silk center. Visionary King Ferdinand IV created a society here where everyone was immersed in aspects of silk production, from farming the silk worms to dyeing, spinning and weaving. Silk from San Leucio is found in Buckingham Palace, the White House and the Kremlin. At the Silk Museum, journey through the history and technology surrounding the silk industry.
