Walk through the cobblestone streets of Skiathos, where parts of the musical Mamma Mia were filmed. Follow your guide toward the fish market, located along the old port alongside taverns, cafés, and bars. Several of these played a role in Mamma Mia, and this is where Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth arrive too late to catch the public ferry to the (fictional) Kalokairi island.
From the fish market, walk up to Agios Giannakis Square and past old, traditional houses.
Skiathitiko Spiti is a two-story house built in 1910 and is the residence of the Papadopoulos family. Visit its exhibition of traditional objects of Skiathos. A surprise homemade delicacy will be offered afterward.
Watch for the Town Hall and visit the home of Sciathitian writer Alexandros Papadiamantis, now a museum.
See the Clock Tower and the Church of Agios Nikolaos offering great views over the town. This is where Amanda Seyfried, having reached the mainland, posts the three letters inviting her potential parents to her wedding.
Your last stop is at the Papadiamantis Monument on the islet of Bourtzi before you return to the ship.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
