Leave the quaint harbor town of Calvi and relax for a panoramic drive through the Balagne Desert -- an uninhabited region of deep red rocks and fragrant green maquis vegetation.
Take advantage of a quick photo stop at Bocca Marsulino, which offers superb vistas of the region.
Continue in the direction of Galeria, where the protected marine park begins. The narrow, winding coastal road is bordered by gigantic boulders overlooking a rock-strewn deep blue sea. Take in fantastic views of the gulf, the Fango Valley, and the magnificent Paglia Orba Massif.
Watch for secluded bays, wonderful beaches and island scenery before arriving at Punta Revellata at the entrance to Calvi Bay. From outside the small Notre-Dame-de-la-Serra Chapel, take in the picture-perfect views of Calvi, Calenzana and Revellata before driving back to sea level for a welcome refreshment at a local café.
