This 4x4 safari, hosted by an English-speaking driver, takes you to the WWF Monte Arcosu Nature Reserve. Along the way, you will stop at the Santa Gilla ponds to admire the flamingos and other wading birds (seasonal).
Upon arrival at the Monte Arcosu Nature Reserve, located in the northwesternmost corner of the island, discover an ecosystem of splendid holm-oak forests carpeting lonely valleys, and rocky ridges that are home to the endangered Sardinian deer.
Leave your transportation for an easy walk with your guide along trails surrounded by beautiful and fragrant Mediterranean vegetation. Keep your eyes open for wildlife. Contemplate the fascinatingly wild and isolated nature of this small corner of heaven that is habitat for fallow deer, wild boar, large hares, wild cats and numerous avian species, including the partridge and golden eagle.
Enjoy a snack of Sardinian products before you return to the ship.
Please note: Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. This is an active tour. Maximum weight is 220 lbs. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair, scooter or walking aid, or for those with mobility limitations.
