At around 2,000 feet above sea level and a 30-minute drive from Castries, the community of Chassin at the base of La Sorcière is home to the aerial tram and zip-line that is your adventure for the day.
A trial zip-line at the base camp and a short training session prepare you and your fellow zip-liners for the day's adventure. Then, you'll cross great heights, glide among stoic tree trunks, and trek under the verdant canopy in the beautiful rainforest. Find the intrepid adventurer within as you soar, hike and glide through St Lucia.
The Tranopy experience begins with a gondola ride through the thick Caribbean oceanic forest, past ancient trees, persistent vines, and animated birdlife. Then, disembark at the top station for a 15- to 20-minute hike on a trail that winds its way through the magnificent mature forest, past impressive buttress root systems.
At the first zip-line platform, buckle up and batten down -- it's all downhill from here. Experience the thrill of gliding through the tree canopy high above the bustle of the city in the cool, verdant air of the forest.
Knowledgeable guides put you through the paces as you zip from platform to platform suspended from the sturdy trunks of these gentle-giant trees.
Hike a short distance to meet the tram for the final descent. Suspended above the forest canopy, with commanding views of the island, the gondola delivers thrill seekers safely to base camp for the return drive to the ship.
Please note: The transfer between the ship and the tram park is a scenic, non-narrated drive. Maximum weight is 350 lbs (170 kg). Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. The route is winding. Guests who are prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Wear sturdy, non-skid, closed-toe (mandatory) walking shoes. High heels, sandals and flip-flops are not allowed.
