Since 1807, the Portland Observatory has offered spectacular views of Portland's busy harbor and served as a beloved symbol of the city's rich maritime heritage. It is the only remaining historical maritime signal station in the United States. Climb to the top for breathtaking views and learn all about its fascinating history.
As you walk, you will see the Wadsworth-Longfellow Mansion, the Victoria Mansion, the Old Port, Commercial Street, City Hall and the First Parish Church.
Scenic vistas of Casco Bay are everywhere as your guide shares stories of this waterfront city. You will also hear about Portland's vibrant food and beer scene.
Please note: Tour requires of approximately two hours of walking. Terrain is paved and unpaved pathways, roads and sidewalks including some inclines. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations.
