Begin your day with tea, coffee and freshly-baked pastries; then, it's all about seafood.
Your Fresh from the Wharf cooking class involves the creation of a number of outstanding dishes using locally-caught fish and shellfish. The Akaroa Cooking School buys its ultra-fresh seafood directly from Murray, the local fisherman who brings in the catch and sells it on the wharf, only seconds from the door of the cooking school.
Watch as dishes are prepared from local produce available on the Banks Peninsula, including the country's best olive oils, local honey, nuts, and fresh organic fruits and vegetables.
The chef will cook up the ingredients, and you'll savor a huge seafood feast around the table. Each dish is matched with award-winning local wines.
After this indulgent day of entertainment and learning, eating fabulous food and drinking fine wines, you'll have time for shopping in the pretty town of Akaroa, too.
