Located southwest of Abu Dhabi and extending all the way to Saudi Arabia, the Liwa Desert is perched on the edge of one the most barren piece of land on earth -- Rub Al Khali (the Empty Quarter). Home to the Baniyas tribe, the largest tribe in the region from whence came the present-day royal family of Abu Dhabi, Liwa is famous for its magnificent and pure red sand dunes.
You will enjoy an unforgettable off-road journey today, with plenty of photo opportunities. A delicious picnic lunch is served en route.
Take some side visits, including to the private Automobile Museum of a member of Abu Dhabi’s royal family -- the colorful Rainbow Sheikh.
Please note:
Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Clothing should be loose (not fitted). Four guests per 4x4 vehicle. Your driver is your guide. There is no restroom available at the picnic lunch venue. Minimum age is 6 years.
