You'll fly west past Africa's tallest mountain, Mt Kilimanjaro, and over the Great Rift Valley which runs from Kenya to Jordan. Your destination is Kenya's premier game reserve -- the famous Maasai Mara Reserve. Here, in the never-ending circle of life, large herds of plains game, such as wildebeest, buffalo, warthogs and gazelles, are pursued by predators, including lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena. Hundreds of elephants, hippos and crocodiles complete this magical scene. Maasai Mara has often been described as the eighth wonder of the world
Upon arrival at the airstrip, transfer to the camp with a short game-viewing drive en route. Check in and sit down to lunch. Feel free to relax around the pool afterward. Afternoon tea, cookies, cakes and sandwiches are also served.
In late the afternoon, set out on a game drive within the Mara North Conservancy Area, returning to the camp in the late evening in time for dinner.
Overnight at the Kichwa Tembo Camp.
