Set off on a class III-IV rafting trip down the clear, azure waters of the mighty Petrohue River -- one of Chile's most beautiful and exciting glacial rivers. Marvel at the surrounding spectacular scenery of old-growth forests, waterfalls and breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and volcanoes.
Your river guide will expertly maneuver through thunderous rapids, so hold on and enjoy this thrilling whitewater experience.
Wetsuits are provided and a picnic lunch will be served at the lodge or on the riverbank.
Please note: Wear your swimsuit; bring a towel and a set of dry clothes. Participants must be fit and have enough stamina to be able to paddle in fast, rough, open waters for perhaps long periods of time. Raft operator may deny participation if a guest appears unfit or unable to sustain such strenuous activity. Participants are required to be able to swim and to walk over uneven terrain. Wear comfortable walking shoes. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Minimum age is 12 years. Although only a few horn flies live near this river, wear light-colored clothing to avoid attracting them. Bring insect repellent.
