Historic Center of Brugge

As one of the commercial and cultural capitals of Europe, Brugge developed cultural links to different parts of the world. It is closely associated with the school of Flemish Primitive painting." Bruges in French, or Brugge in Flemish, is an exquisitely preserved medieval town. It had the good fortune to be linked to the sea by a navigable waterway and the city became a leading member of the Hanseatic League in the 13th century, when the town established Europe's first stock exchange.
As you enter the historical Old Town of Bruges, its medieval atmosphere is immediately evident. Cobblestone streets twist and turn, and centuries-old buildings tower over the main canals. You'll take a guided walk through the picturesque city, passing Market Place with its merchant guild houses, the Belfry Tower, Town Hall and Gothic-style Chapel of the Holy Blood.
You will see the beauty of medieval Bruges from a different perspective during a 30-minute guided canal boat cruise.
Take advantage of some free time to browse independently in Bruges, exploring at your leisure and having lunch on your own.
Finally, your guide will lead you past the Lake of Love as you return to the coach for the drive back to the ship.
