Discover some of the charming medieval villages that dot Croatia's Istrian peninsula, beginning with a drive through the lush Mediterranean landscape to the city of Hum. With a population of just 30, Hum claims to be the smallest city in the world. Enjoy a guided walk in this settlement, strolling down cobblestone streets to view historic sites.
Next up is Buzet -- the truffle capital of Istria. Enjoy a walk and tasting presentation at the Aura Distillery, where locally-produced brandies, jams and other products are made from wild herbs and fruits.
Your final stop is the medieval town of Motovun, where a shuttle bus transfers you to the Old Town atop the hill. Walk through the city and check out the original city walls, still standing and affording incredible views across Istria.
Lunch is served at a local restaurant before you return to the pier.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Terrain includes stairs and uneven surfaces. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
