Meet your guide on the pier and start with a short panoramic drive to Portorose before you gear up with a bicycle and helmet.
Then, set out on a coastal bike ride that follows the right-of-way of the now-defunct Parenzana narrow-gauge railroad, which ran from Trieste to Porec. For 34 years, the Parenzana Railroad was the main transport link between Istria and Central Europe. Now, about a hundred years after the Parenzana steam engine first puffed along the tracks, its route has become a path for hikers, cyclists and runners. The 90-minute scenic route will take you through old villages to the seaside, past salt fields, and through vineyards and olive groves.
Ending in the town of Portoroz, you will enjoy a light snack and some free time before you transfer back to the pier.
