On this fascinating tour, you will discover two of the many wonders of Abu Dhabi -- the Arabian Jewel.
Your tour starts with a panoramic drive along the beautiful corniche to reach the stunning downtown area. Enjoy a photo-stop at the artificial breakwater with its postcard-perfect view of the city skyline.
A leisurely drive brings you to the magnificent Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, reputed to be the third-largest in the world. You will have the opportunity to visit this mega-structure and learn about its architecture, as well as the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed, former President of UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Continue on to the highlight of today’s outing -- a visit to the fascinating Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital. An introduction to the elegant world of falcons and falconry is followed by a guided tour of the small, but well maintained, exhibit room, where you will learn about the tools of a falconer’s trade. In the treatment rooms, a trained caregiver provides explanations on some common avian ailments and their treatments. Finally, make the most of an extraordinary opportunity to have a majestic falcon sit on your arm for a souvenir photograph.

Modest attire is required to visit mosques; women’s legs must be covered to the ankles and arms covered to the wrists; clothing must not be fitted, transparent or translucent. Women’s hair must be completely covered. You must remove your shoes before entering the mosque(s). Entry to the mosque is entirely at the discretion of the security guards. Tour does not operate on Fridays or Saturdays. The falcon hospital tour is conducted by the hospital officials and may not be exclusive to Seabourn guests.
