Elevate your visit to Icy Strait Point on the SkyGlider Mountaintop Gondola as a high-speed, eight-passenger car whisks you to new heights, allowing you to experience the wilds of Alaska from a bird's-eye perspective.
At sea level, walk onto the gondola car and gently glide through the forest as you ascend to the top of Hoonah Mountain. Viewing Glacier Bay, the ancestral homeland of the Tlingit people, and Icy Strait Point, you will see why -- at 1,500 feet elevation -- this location is known for its breathtaking views. Walk through the lush Tongass National Forest and experience the unspoiled Alaska wilderness, or watch zip-line riders preparing to take flight.
You can also enjoy an unguided half-mile roundtrip walk to view a beautiful mountain meadow and pond. Keep your eyes open for bears, eagles, and deer.
