Vava'u offers world-class sportfishing for marlin, wahoo, sailfish, tuna and mahi-mahi. Round up your friends and head out for a day of fishing with an experienced crew. Vava'u is especially renowned for its deep-water blue marlin fishing close to shore.
Spend the day on the boat, trawling lures and baits mainly for billfish, although several other pelagic species may also be caught. All the equipment is first class, ranging from 30lb to 130lb line. A packed lunch is included with bottled water or soft drink.
Please Note:
Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. You have purchased the opportunity to fish-not a guarantee of catching a fish. Trophy fish are catch-and-release. You cannot bring your catch on board the ship; any non-trophy fish will be kept by the fishing boat crew. Minimum age is usually 16 years; parents may be able to negotiate with the skipper if they wish to bring younger children. Tour does not operate on Sundays.
