Apia is the historic capital of Samoa and retains much of its old-world charm. As you set out on a panoramic drive, you will cross the Vaisigano River and pass the famous Aggie Grey's Hotel. Aggie ran a hamburger joint and pub during World War II, which became a home away from home for American service personnel. From there, her business grew into a world-famous hotel. Your drive takes you through the Beach Road with colourful plants along the way, passing through the Samoa Tourism village which houses various local business like tattooing, weaving, tapa making etc.
Discover the Mulinu'u Peninsula -- site of colonial administration in the 1870s and the current Parliament of Samoa. The building is in the shapre of a Samoan Meeting House. It is also the burial ground and final resting place of the former Kings of Samoa.
You'll stop at the Fugalei Produce Market where tables are laden with souveniers, produce and handicrafts available for purchase.
Finally, you will visit the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum to learn about the famous author and his life in Samoa.
Your tour concludes with a kava ceremony and island entertainment.
