Departing from St Helier, begin your scenic drive via Longueville to the picturesque village of Gorey overlooked by the majestic Mont Orgueil Castle. This impressive fortification has witnessed island life from the middle ages, through the French Wars, and right up to the German Occupation.
Enjoy a short stop to view Mont Orgueil from a nearby vantage point before continuing your leisurely drive, admiring the scenic views as you pass by Grève de Lecq, once a German strongpoint, and St Ouens Bay to Corbière Lighthouse, evidently described by Victor Hugo as ‘…the herdsman of the waves…’
Following a pause for photographs at Corbière Lighthouse and time to enjoy the spectacular views, continue to St Brelade’s Bay with its golden sands, charming beachside cafes and seaside restaurants.
After a short stop in St Brelade’s enjoy the wonderful views to the south-east coast as your scenic drive takes you through the lovely fishing village of St Aubin, and back to St Helier.
