This panoramic drive begins in the charming village of Loen, situated right at the end of Nordfjord.
Today's route takes you along the northern shoreline of the fjord through the picturesque settlements of Blakset, Fjelli and Hopland. The road is narrow and winding, and the terrain is very steep. You will stop at the Nos Viewpoint for a spectacular panoramic outlook over Nordfjord and the surrounding area. Nos is located at the edge of a 1,600-foot vertical drop to the fjord, so it is guaranteed to leave a lasting impression.
Take advantage of another photo stop at Kvalen before you descend to Nordfjord and Nordfjordeid village with its charming old Eidsgata Street. At the centrally-located Nordfjord Hotel, enjoy a break for coffee and cake.
The return drive to Loen takes you past the crystal-clear Lake Hornindal, dotted with picturesque islands and surrounded by high, rugged mountains.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Suitable for guests using a wheelchair with a companion to assist. Participants must be able to climb a few steps to board the coach without assistance.
