Hop into a 4x4 vehicle at the pier and from there you're off to explore the secret places of Madeira. This is the ideal way to discover the natural terrain, both on and off road, including hidden valleys and mountains of volcanic origin that cannot be reached by motorcoach.
Bring your spirit of adventure and you will encounter local characters when you stop off-road at a local rural pub for a rest and refreshments.
Please note: Wear comfortable walking shoes and a jacket, as weather at higher altitudes can be cooler. The 4x4 vehicles are driven by your driver/guide in caravan style. Ride can be bumpy. Part of the excursion takes place on dirt roads and may be dusty. Not advisable for guests with neck or back conditions and pregnant women. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair.
