Discover the heart and soul of the exciting city of Halifax as you get out and explore Nova Scotia's capital on foot. Your local guide will encourage your questions and share with you many stories of Halifax's past and present.
Pause at the Citadel National Historic Site, which boasts an unparalleled view over the modern port of Halifax. Here, you will meet members of the 78th Highlander Regiment. Step inside the fort to discover the site at your leisure.
Departing Citadel Hill, your walking tour continues down past Halifax's 200-year-old Town Clock, Province House, the Scotiabank Centre, and City Hall to Grand Parade. The latter was historically a military parade square and is now home to Halifax's oldest building -- St Paul's Anglican Church.
At a leisurely pace, you'll explore the tree-fringed streets lined with elegant Victorian buildings en route back to the ship.
Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their own way back to the ship.
Please note: Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
