John Stackhouse is an award-winning teacher, scholar and public communicator who specializes in the history of culture, society and religion. John graduated from Queen's University in his native Canada (BA with First Class Honours), Wheaton College Graduate School in the U.S., and The University of Chicago (PhD). He currently holds the Samuel J. Mikolaski Chair of Religious Studies at Crandall University in eastern Canada and has given lectures at leading universities such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Edinburgh, Fudan and Hong Kong.
 

He has authored a dozen books, more than half of which are published by the Oxford University Press, and over 900 articles, chapters and reviews, ranging over history, sociology, philosophy, theology and ethics.
 

His voice has been heard in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Times Literary Supplement, the Atlantic and Time magazine, as well as on national radio and television networks in the U.S., Canada and Australia. His first love, however, has been European history, and he likes nothing better than to take Seabourn guests on deep dives into fascinating pools of cultural history along our way.
