Giant sand dunes run straight into the ocean, creating breathtaking scenery and a unique off-road driving experience. Ride to beautiful lookouts where you can feel the remoteness Namibia and the Skeleton Coast are so famous for!
Drive to Sandwich Harbor Lagoon, a large natural tidal lagoon surrounded by sand dunes, only accessible by 4x4. If the lagoon is inaccessible due to tidal conditions, take an exciting dune ride to a lookout point for an aerial view of the Lagoon.
Stop along the way to enjoy a light lunch & refreshments amongst the dunes before heading to the jetty where you will board a boat for a 2½ hour cruise on the Walvis Bay Lagoon.
As you cruise around the lagoon, watch for the schools of dolphins that love to swim alongside the boats. When you reach Pelican Point and the large cape seal colony, be entertained by these comical creatures diving in the water, swimming up to the boat and sunning on the sand.
For the bird lovers, apart from many flamingos (seasonal), pelicans and cormorants, there are also common sightings of the White Chinned Petrel, Wilson’s Storm Petrel, Cape Gannet, Black Oystercatcher.
After an exciting day on sand and sea, return to the pier.
