The Isle of Mull is home to nearly 4,000 plant species, from majestic Scots pine to rare, fragrant orchids. For its size, it claims a greater biodiversity than anywhere else in the UK. Along 300 miles of coastline, otters romp and seals bask on the rocks; in the rolling hills, red deer roam free.
Join an expert local guide who specializes in the wildlife of Mull. Traveling as part of a small group, you'll find there is no set route as the wildlife hotspots are dictated by conditions on the day. You'll track down as much wildlife as possible during this tour. Mull's Big Three are the golden eagle, white-tailed sea eagle and the otter. The area is also known for Peregrine falcons, corncrakes and puffins, and perhaps seals and deer.
Tea/coffee and a shortbread cookie are provided during your tour.
Please note: Binoculars and field maps are provided; please bring your own binoculars if you have them, as familiarity with your set is helpful. Not advisable for guests with mobility limitations. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Dress warmly in layered clothing; outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Once booked, this tour is nonrefundable. Tour operates rain or shine but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extremely bad weather or unsuitable conditions.
