Set out on a scenic coastal drive en route to Voergaard Manor. Voergaard houses a large private collection of French art and artefacts. As you venture through the corridors listen to stories about the resident ghost, which is said to haunt the castle, experience a wonderful world of priceless art treasures and royal antiques.
The Castle’s decorations and furnishings are just as its last owner, Count Oberbech-Clausen, left them. It was he who created the large collection of furniture, antiques, paintings, porcelain and silverware from his possessions in France, including treasures from Louis XIV, Louis XVI and Marie-Antoinette's personal effects.
Conclude your visit to the manor with a glass of Lafitte wine, imported from the French Vineyards of the former Count, and locally produced Danish cheese.
Next, visit Voer Church, situated near the Manor. Many of the Manor’s previous owners are buried here, including noblewomen Ingeborg Skeel, a wealthy landowner and county sheriff. She owned and resided at Voergaard from 1588-1591, during this period she established a mausoleum at the church.
Finally re-board your motor coach, sit back and enjoy a relaxing return drive back to the pier.
Please note: Approximately 50 steps inside Voergaard Manor. Entrance to Voer Church may not be possible in case of religious services.
