Start your day out with an introduction to Cork, the second-largest city in Ireland, situated on the River Lee. You will find yourself constantly crossing bridges on your panoramic drive between the two branches of the same river. Watch for the Old Courthouse, City Hall, the renowned Bells of Shandon and St Fin Barre's Cathedral, whose spires dominate the city skyline. This charming university town is a hub for jazz, film, opera and theatre. Although Cork offers all the amenities of a large city, it retains the pleasant charm and friendliness of a country town.
Leaving Cork, you will travel south to the world-acclaimed sailing town of Kinsale -- one of the most picturesque, popular and fashionable resorts on the southwest coast of Ireland. Nestled between the hills and the shoreline, this town is a maze of narrow streets where you are never far from the water. Upon arrival here, you'll stop to photograph Charles Fort.
Heading to a local establishment, enjoy coffee and fresh-baked scones. Afterwards, use your free time to explore Kinsale on your own before the return drive to the port.
