Venturing into the Scottish Highlands, you'll be mesmerized by the breathtaking landscapes of rolling hills, mist-covered mountains, and shimmering lochs, where the ancient echoes of history mingle with the untamed beauty of nature.
Departing Oban, your coach will take you through the picturesque scenery of the Pass of Brander and around the tip of Loch Awe with views of Kilchurn Castle before continuing to Tyndrum for a short stop.
The route climbs to Rannoch Moor -- the Great Moor and one of the last remaining wildernesses in Europe. Descend through the majestic Glencoe -- the scene of the infamous 1692 massacre of the MacDonalds and now a center for serious mountaineering, providing some of the finest climbing and walking in Scotland. Step inside the award-winning Glencoe Visitor Center to learn more about the history, geology and nature of this region.
The route continues along Loch Linnhe. Along the way, you'll admire the views of the islands of Lismore and Mull along the shoreline of this sea loch. Pass Castle Stalker -- a tower house situated on its own islet set against a dramatic backdrop of mountains -- before arriving back in the coastal town of Oban.
