Welcome to Øvre-Eide Farm, a unique place nestled in historical surroundings only five minutes from central Bergen. This family-run farm with roots and buildings back to 1540 accommodates guests from all over the world. In this historic place immersed in Nordic nature, family and staff will be delighted to welcome you to discover the day by day of a traditional farm.
Here you will experience the beautiful land and animals, as well as learn the art of baking “lefse” – a traditional Norwegian pastry. You’ll learn all about the history and folklore of lefse, and learn how to bake it on the special iron block. After the course, you’ll receive an informal certificate, and you are welcome to bring all the treats you made with you when you leave.
While baking you will enjoy coffee, tea and hot chocolate, fruit juices and almond cakes, made by the farm’s own pastry chef.
Please note: It is recommended to dress in layered clothing and wear comfortable walking shoes.
