This is an opportunity to actively explore the Troodos Mountains, surrounded by the natural beauty of a pine-clad National Forest Park.
Set off on a two-hour (approximately) hike from an elevation of around 4,900 feet. The trail follows the Kyros Potamos -- a little mountain creek. Along the way, you'll see a number of endemic plant species, as well as evidence of the geological activity that formed the area. At the end of the hike, stop for a picnic style snack.
On the drive back, pause in the village of Omodos -- a favorite for Cyprus' artistic community. Stroll through the village to admire some of their works or purchase a coffee in one of the many cafés (at your own expense).
Please note: Dress in layers with a warm jacket as it can be cool at higher elevations. Wear sturdy closed-toe walking shoes (mandatory). Terrain involves rough and uneven terrain, steps, loose stones, roots and protruding rocks. Participants must be in good physical condition. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. You will cross streams -- wear shoes you don't mind getting wet. Not suitable for guests with back or neck conditions, or for pregnant women. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations.
