Enjoy a panoramic drive around the Bodrum Peninsula. You'll stop at Gümbet Hill to see the old windmills and take in the excellent vistas -- you'll even spot your cruise ship down in Bodrum Harbor.
After a short drive, you will arrive at the Myndos Gate, where Alexander the Great entered the ancient city of Halicarnassus in 334 BC.
Visit the village of Gümüşlük, where strict building codes have ensured that the seafront has retained its original appearance and stunningly photogenic fishing village charm. Gümüş is the Turkish word for silver. Your feet are touching historic ground here -- this is the harbor of ancient Myndos. When the tide is out, you can walk to the small island located on the right side of the cove.
Enjoy light refreshments at a local restaurant, and on the way back to the ship, you will stop briefly at the Bodrum Amphitheatre
