Hop aboard a tuk-tuk or tuk-tuk shuttle at the pier and head through the island's capital -- Kralendijk. Originally from Thailand and used as mini taxis, Bonaire's tuk-tuks and tuk-tuk shuttles are powered by an emissions-free and environmentally friendly electric motor. In Kralendijk you'll see the small Fort Orange, built in 1639 to defend Bonaire's main harbor. Your tuk-tuk will pass by the square and through the streets of the town so you can take in the local life. Stop to visit the island's largest church before following the scenic route along the ocean boulevard back to the pier.
Please note: Maximum weight is 260 pounds. There are two steps to get into and out of the tuk-tuk. Each tuk-tuk accommodates either four or seven guests. Which tuk-tuk you will ride in is determined on the day.
