Travel from the pier in La Baie on a 60-minute scenic drive to the Saguenay National Park Visitor Center. From there, let beautiful Saguenay Fjord mesmerize you on this sea kayaking excursion on cold, inky water.
Listen to a safety briefing and paddling instructions before you hop into your stable, two-person kayak equipped with a rudder for extra control. Paddle 1.25 hours along Cape Trinity's sheer cliffs and sandy beaches. On the surface, the beauty of the Saguenay Fjord is striking, but these waters also reveal glimpses of their depths that have long been thought unfathomable.
If you're lucky, you may encounter marine life, including lazy seals lollygagging on the rocks.
Afterward, you will have some free time at the Visitor Center to shop for souvenirs.
Please note: Transportation to the park is by school bus and is shared between all park activities. Previous kayaking experience is not required. Minimum age is 10 years. Participants must be able to fit in a kayak. A full wetsuit and booties are provided if weather conditions require. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Bring extra socks. Dry bags are available. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
