Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef and depart transformed. The Great Barrier Reef is natural wonder of the world, renowned for its unparalleled biodiversity and stunning coral formations, offering a look at mesmerizing underwater playgrounds and providing a kaleidoscope of marine life. Here you can experience the vibrant beauty of this iconic Australian treasure.
Start your adventure by boarding a high-speed, 90-minute catamaran ride. There will be an informative presentation by a marine naturalist. Along the way you’ll get excited for the adventures ahead.
Once you reach your destination, you’re fitted with your snorkeling equipment and there’s easy access to the water from the back of the vessel.
As you hop into the water you’ll be met with intricate coral gardens in a vast number of colors, see brightly-colored tropical fish, mollusks and maybe even visiting reef sharks, dolphins and turtles. The incredible underwater world will be all around you.
After lunch there’s more time to swim or snorkel. If you’re feeling adventurous you can try an introductory or certified scuba experience (additional cost).
Please note:
Wear comfortable flat-soled shoes, clothing suited to the weather conditions, a hat and jacket, plenty of biodegradable sunscreen and bring bottled water. Make sure to bring swimmers and a towel. This tour is suitable for guests aged 6+ years. This tour it is not recommended for those who do not wish to swim. Please note swimming is undertaken in a deep-water environment from the back of a vessel, not off a sandy shore/Pontoon. Snorkel, mask, fins, and flotation devices are included. Stinger suits, lycra or wet suits are available for hire at an additional charge. Always snorkel with a buddy. All swimming/ snorkel activities undertaken at own risk Certain medical conditions including asthma, lung and heart conditions will prevent guests in participating in snorkeling. Guests with the above conditions will be required to complete a medical survey and assessment with trained GBR staff on the day. A 5–10-minute walk to and from the Reef Fleet Terminal is required.
