The journey begins as you board your air-conditioned motor-coach for approximately 90-minute drive to the north of Kuala Lumpur. Along the way, you'll be passing through many of the 21st century industrial centers that dotted the area. You'll continue traveling through its large suburban area for your first stop the spellbinding Batu Caves.
Rising at almost 328 feet above ground, the Batu Caves is actually a complex of 400-million-year-old limestone caverns. Since their discovery in 1891, Hindu devotees have filled the caves with colorful Hindu shrines. The complex is considered to be one of the most popular Hindu shrines outside of India. When you step off the motor-coach, don't be surprised to be greeted by a long tailed macaque monkeys. The next sight you'll see is the 141-foot tall gilded statue of the deity Lord Murugan standing guard over the 272 steps that lead to Cathedral Cave, the grandest of all the caves.
Before returning to the Port, you will stop at the National Museum. An excellent introduction to Malaysia’s history, economy, geography, arts, crafts and culture. The building has a sweeping, traditional Minangkabau-style roof and a main entrance flanked by two large murals of Italian glass mosaic that portray the country’s major historical events and cultural activities.
Please note:- The National Museum is closed on the first Monday of every month.
