Discover Oman's significant heritage and culture on this half-day tour.
Your first stop is at the Bait al Zubair Museum, housing Oman's largest and finest private collection of artifacts. Offering insight into the culture and traditions of the country, the museum has more than 5,000 specially selected pieces spanning several centuries and regions. The collection includes traditional Omani weaponry, jewelry, clothing, furniture, photographs, coins, stamps, musical instruments, manuscripts and books.
Your second stop is the vibrant maze-like Muttrah souq (market), where shopping and exploring is an entertaining and unique experience as you discover the Middle Eastern treasures for sale and put your haggling skills to the test. Available items include things that everyone needs, such as dowry chests and large clumps of frankincense, as well as ornately decorated antiques, silver goods, decorative coins. Keep an eye out for Amouage, said to be the world's most valuable perfume.
The Bait Adam Museum is the final highlight. A privately owned museum, the Bait Adam features an interesting collection of paintings, photographs, currency and old weapons. Upon arrival, you are welcomed with traditional Arabian coffee and dates. The owner and head of the family shows you around the rooms on the ground floor, which have been converted into the museum. You have the opportunity to interact with the family and learn about Omani lifestyles, both past and present.
Leaving the family home, take a scenic drive along the corniche to the pier.

Modest attire is required; knees, shoulders and midriffs must be covered. Shorts are not allowed. Tour does not operate on Fridays, Saturdays, holidays or during VIP visits. Dollars are accepted in the souq. Photography is prohibited in Bait Al Zubair Museum & Baiat Adam Museum. Minimum age is 12 years. If your visit falls during Ramadan, you cannot eat, drink or smoke in public.
