A scenic 15-minute drive will bring you to a small pier. Here, you'll board a boat for a ride out to Raiatea's reef. The sound of waves breaking on the reef and the spectacular palette of color are magic from the moment you arrive at Anapa Pearl Farm. Visit the small pearl station built over the lagoon, experience an unforgettable pearl harvest and see how a black pearl is cultured. You'll see the grafter performing the 'operation' and your guide will explain all the secrets of Tahiti's mysterious black pearl. This is a fascinating look at one of nature's most beautiful gifts. Seeing these rare pearl oysters during their underwater slumber is a truly unforgettable experience.
Don't miss snorkeling on Raiatea's stunning reef -- a coral garden filled with a large variety of tropical fish.
After your time in the water, relax with a beverage and enjoy the view of Bora Bora rising out of the ocean.
Please note: Capacity is limited to 16 guests. Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe sunscreen and a hat. There are no restroom stops. There is a small boutique at the pearl farm; cash and credit cards are accepted. Mask and snorkel provided; wear aqua shoes. Guests participating in water activities must be competent swimmers and able to cope with occasional currents. Depth of water is not guaranteed, due to currents and sea level variation. Do not touch or step on the coral reef, or touch any underwater animals for safety and environmental reasons. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. The boat environment requires vigilance; guests must be physically and mentally alert and fit enough to negotiate steps and the vessel layout. Boat may be wet, personal belongings should be stored with caution. Mask and snorkel provided. Swim at your own risk. Tour duration is approximate.
