Vallée de Mai Nature Reserve is home to the coco de mer (double coconut), bearing the largest seed in the plant kingdom. The rare black parrot also haunts the reserve, feeding on the abundant fruits. This is a magical forest, thick with wild tropical vegetation and many species of rare endemic palms. A guided walk through the reserve brings you closer to nature, invigorating your senses.
Refreshments are served at Cote d'Or beach, where you will have time for swimming, relaxing or simply strolling on the beach.
Please note:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen and a hat. Bring bottled water. It is common to experience short tropical showers in this region. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Terrain includes uneven ground and exposed roots, as well as some steps.
