Explore like a local on this biking adventure. When you arrive at the bicycle center, your guide will give you everything you need for this day on two wheels. As a major student town, Trondheim has always embraced great ideas and big ideals. The city aims to become the country's bike capital, with 180 km of red carpet – aka bike lanes – rolled out for cyclists by 2025.
Riding on the red bike lanes gives you an intimate view of the city, and your local guide will provide you with local stories. In addition to the "obligatory highlights," you will discover the former workers' quarter and shipyard area and get the chance to swing by the bicycle lift in Bakklandet. Trampe, the world's first – and only – bicycle lift opened in town in 1993, has since become an attraction.
Along the route there will be frequent photo stops.
Please note: It is recommended to dress in layered clothing, and wear proper close-toed shoes. Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Participants must have good balance and experience bicycling with shifting gears. Bicycling covers approximately 8 km on paved paths. A comfort stop is available by the Cathedral. Guests are required to sign a waiver.
