Eplore this rugged Icelandic island on an ATV adventure. Driving in convoy, you will stop at Prestvik beach where the fishing vessel Pelagus lays stranded.
You will also stop at the location where Gudlaugur Fridþorsson finally made it to shore in the early hours of March 12, 1984. Lost, wet and alone in a freezing, snow covered landscape, this Icelandic fisherman survived against all odds. His story has since been dramatized in the 2021 film, The Deep.
Continue on to the Eldfell, a volcanic cone towering just over 200 meters high and whose name in Icelandic means "Hill of Fire".
Your return journey will take you along the coast and past breathtaking panoramas. Please note: The weather in Iceland is unpredictable and may result in reduced visibility at the sites. Order of sites visited may vary. It is recommended to wear sturdy footwear. Warm overalls, gloves and helmet are provided on this excursion. Headsets are also provided and are attached to the helmets. The ATV's have a capacity of 2 persons and guests will be loaded together where possible with travel companions. Minimum age to participate as a second passenger is 6 years. The ATV’s are automatic and easy to drive. No specific experience is needed; however the person driving must be in possession of a valid driver's license.
