Disembark the ship this morning and meet your local guide. Board your coach for a 60-minute transfer to Pembroke. The drop-off point is at the magnificent castle, Pembroke Castle, that dominates the town and, after confirming your return time, you will have approximately 3 hours of free time to explore the town on your own.
During your free time, you may choose to visit Pembroke Castle (at your own expense), one of the largest and best-preserved castles in South Wales. Best known as the birthplace of the remarkable Tudor dynasty, it is an imposing sight, situated high on a cliff face on the banks of the River Cleddau. If you choose to take a tour of the castle, you can visit the tower where the first Tudor King, Henry VII was born. Throughout the castle are tableaux depicting scenes from its history: Lady Margaret with her baby king-to-be Henry, and her ladies-in-waiting; revelry in the Great Hall with Earl William de Valence; and John Whithorn, the last prisoner held in the dungeons.
In the afternoon, you will meet your guide back at the coach at the pre-arranged time for the transfer back to the ship at Fishguard.
