Board your transportation at the pier and enjoy a scenic drive to Petrolane where the winery Kraljevski Vinogradi is located. On the picturesque hills above Petrcane and Punta Skala, the vineyards hang in the extreme conditions on the rocky soil with an optimum slope toward the southwest with constant circulation of the air, from the sea and as well from Velebit.
This is one of the few large vineyards in Dalmatia and Croatia which is planted on a narrow row spacing so that a hectare has 8,000 grapevines.
Top quality grapes from the stone vineyards and an excellent taste of wines are the results of a special microclimate, its position by the sea and a full day of direct sun exposure, on average 2,600 hours per year. The view from the vineyards overlooks the city of Zadar, the islands of the Zadar archipelago and Velebit. Explore the vineyards, learn of the winery history and traditions, taste the local pink, white and red wine accompanied by typical products before you return to the ship.
