Relax and enjoy a coach ride along the scenic roadways of the island. Your guide will point out numerous quaint villages and historic sites en route to the Villa San Martino -- summer residence of Napoleon Bonaparte during his exile on Elba. The villa now houses the Napoleon Museum. Step inside to learn about the rich history surrounding the Little Emperor and the villa itself.
Next, drive to Porto Azzurro. A brief introduction to this charming fishing village is followed by free time to explore on your own. You'll have time to do a little shopping or people-watch from a local café (at your own expense).
On the return drive to Portoferraio enjoy breathtaking views of Portoferraio Bay before arriving back at the pier.
Please note: Wear comfortable shoes; bring a sunhat. On Monday, Villa dei Mulini will replace the Villa San Martino visit. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience. To reach Villa dei Mulini, guests will have to face a climb with 100 steps to get up to the museum.
