This excursion offers an insightful overview of the trendy and colorful island of Ibiza. You'll begin with a drive from the port to Ses Salines, a fascinating area marked by 40 salt pits. The salt industry was among the first commercial ventures on the island and is still in full production today. This region of the island is also a magnificent spot for bird watching due to the high concentration of avian life, especially flamingos, that come here to live and breed.
Next, you will drive to San José -- the largest town on Ibiza. It is a charming village, and the Sa Caleta viewpoint offers a magnificent vista. Visit the old church in San José, a simple and beautiful building, and an examplar of the local architecture. Enjoy a typical breakfast from Ibiza with flao -- a cake made of soft cheese and local herbs.
Finally, visit Sant Antoni de Portmany for some interesting sightseeing centered around the natural beauty of its bay and port area. Pause in Ibiza town for a walk through the streets and some free time.
